MEMA's President
Jamie Py came to MEMA as Legal Counsel in 1995, and is a 1994 J.D. graduate of the Franklin Pierce Law Center; holds an MBA from Drexel; and is a member of the Maine Bar. In one of his former lives, Jamie worked as the Facility Manager for an oil company in New Hampshire. In 2002, Jamie was named the President of MEMA.
MEMA's Business Manager
Joining MEMA in April of 2008, Laurie will develop new and improve upon existing business processes and procedures as well as improve and develop new strategies for member communications. She will be responsible for the day to day operations of MEMA.
Laurie comes to us with over 20 years experience in the combined heating/convenience store industry. In this time she covered many roles from finance to operations, the most recent being the Director of Fuel Operations for a Maine based company.
MEMA's Director of Business Development
Joining MEMA in January of 2008, Aimee will develop and lead the implementation of strategies which shape future business delivery of the MEMA Technical Education Center, MEMA education offerings, affiliation programs, and member services opportunities.
Aimee graduated from Roger Williams University and holds her MS in Adult Education from the University of Southern Maine. Prior to accepting her position with MEMA, Aimee most recently served as Development Director for the National Kidney Foundation of Maine. She has also worked in the private sector with roles focusing on marketing, sales, and benefit management.
MEMA's Bookkeeper
Lori joined the MEMA Staff in February of 2007.
As MEMA's Bookkeeper, she coordinates all accounts payable and receivable, manages the payroll and taxes, arranges for all audits, and maintains the financial records of the Association, Education Foundation, Workers Compensation Trust and EnergyPAC.
MEMA's Receptionist
Brenda Madore is MEMA's receptionist. Brenda answers our phones, coordinates our mailings, does the photocopying and filing and generally helps around the office.
Dean of Technical Education
Roger has been in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry for over 25 years. He has held a variety of technical and management positions. He has extensive adult education training and has been a leading industry instructor for several years. He is now challenged with the role of Dean of Technical Education to head up MEMA's technical education programs. The Dean position allows Roger to be involved in all of the Educational offerings at MTEC. Having been in the trenches Roger brings real life situations to the classroom to enhance the learning process.
MTEC Instructor
Bryan joined MEMA in 2009 to serve as our additional full time instructor. Bryan has over 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry. He has held many different postions including technician, service manager, and equipment salesman. Over the years, Bryan has educated technicians in the field and is looking forward to the challenges of the classroom and lab environments. He will have the primary responsiblity of instructing the Energy Conservation Technician course yet will also be involved with the Enhanced Hands On Propane Training as well.
MEMA's Insurance Administrator
Robin came to MEMA in 1997 after having worked at Northern General Services as an assistant managing workers' compensation insurance programs for a third party administrator. Robin handles billing and receiving funds for both the MEMA Health and Workers' Comp Trusts, assists with the activities of both Trust's,, and is your contact for any issue involving MEMA's insurance programs. Robin is a licensed Maine insurance agent.
Director of Government Affairs
Ben is a graduate of the University of Maine with a BA in Political Science and the University of Maine School of Law with a J.D. Ben has worked for Senator Olympia Snowe as Director of Outreach and Economic Development, Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine as Director of Government Affairs and the Maine Legislature as a Legislative Aide. Most recently, Ben was the Executive Director in Maine for the Republican National Committee coordinating candidates for federal office of which included Senator Susan Collins.
